01-P2770534 Let's call this one Day 11 - “For a summer wedding guest outfit that won't get you mistaken as a bridesmaid, we like wearing a head-to-toe (alright, head-to-thigh) print and topping it off with a sharp pastel jacket." Yes, well, swap the print for a little color-blocking and the sharp pastel jacket for a cutoff denim vest and it's wedding appropriate somewhere, am I right? Maybe not. It's still cute, though.

The dress is actually a vintage dressing gown I found on Etsy a few years ago, and it's still a great thing to pull on on a warm day. The colors are so bold and 1960s. I pulled on a denim vest I cut from an Old Navy jacket and this trusty pair of mule sandals by Dolce Vita. Again with the wrapped pony, but this one has a fun bit of lift. Easy peasy!

Great little slouchy vegan Le Petit bag from Urban Expressions, my tortie iPhone phone case from J. Crew (it's on sale now!), and Ray-Bans.

Pretty sort of drop-hoop hybrid earrings from Anthropologie - similar here.

These puppies have lasted me many summers. Still going strong! Dolce Vita also has these ones, and they're kind of super badass.

That's our backyard and little Sir Carleton, head garden bunny, hanging out in the background.

Also? We gave in and picked up a big old A/C unit for the first floor. We've got one for our bedroom and the kiddo has a ceiling fan that keeps her room nice and cool, but we were suffering on the main level and OMG, it's amazing. For those of y'all back home, I'm sure you're super grossed out since it's freezing up as usual out there, but this is our third long stretch of heat waves this summer and it's no joke.

In further news of domestic banality, it is VERY exciting that The Newsroom is back and we've gotten on board with Orange Is the New Black. Have you seen either?

Let's sign off with a little happy Bird, shall we?

Until the morrow!
