FIT FOR A FLEUR-DE-LIS
This cute little dress has been waiting since MARCH to come out and play! Beautiful vintage pleated fleur-de-lis dress with matching belt and neck bow all the way from Austin, TX. I've worn it a bunch before today, in fact, it seems to be my go-to house hunting dress for some reason, but I'm excited to share it on the blog.
Posin' with the Pash. I almost sold this sucker when we moved — actually, I tried to sell it, but like certain homeowners I've heard tell of who don't REALLY want to sell and it's apparent in either their asking price or the fact that they turn down good offers — anyway, the long and rambling point is that I still have it and I'm pretty pleased that I do. I love this stupid heavy tank of a bike! It's so pretty! One day I'm going to ride it to the Farmer's Market in Jack London Square (as opposed to just posing with it in our awesome loft) and it's gonna be amazing.
My wife's pet peeve is jam-packed weekends and we already have too much going on this weekend! (Shh, don't tell her.) We're running late for the soft opening of a friend of a friend's new bar downtown tonight, tomorrow there's an important financial advisor meeting (WHY on a Saturday, why why why) followed by a very unrelated whirl around the bay at a boat show, movie night at a friend's house if we've got it in us, and a full roster of open houses Sunday.
Let's get a closer look at this number, shall we? It's got A LOT going on. Not just stripes and fleur-de-lis, but a sort of cracked marble motif throughout. Fits like a glove without a lick of tailoring and the material is in near-perfect shape; some barely noticeable yellowing, but I can't find it to save my life in these photos (unless you look real close at the edges of the belt).
I love the vintage vibe of these simple black suede and faux reptile pumps from Franco Sarto, and the anchor earrings I got ages ago at Pretty Penny were a fun nod to the sailor collar on the dress.
Bird says HEY, GIRL. Have a good weekend, my loves!
