Clipboards make me irrationally happy.
Last Friday night, M & I took a walk around the neighborhood, stopping last at a nearby thrift store. My two favorite sections are "bric-a-brac" and the long wall of dresses, the latter of which I can scour very thoroughly with minimal handling in under 10 minutes (before closing, as it were). It's impressive, I must tell you, considering the length of those racks is appx. 30 feet of pure thrifting chaos. I snagged a lovely light blue cotton sundress and a pretty, ashen Banana Republic dress in silk for around $3 apiece.
The real thrill of the night, though? CLIPBOARD, 75 cents. This dress! I liked the bold strokes of color in this Max & Cleo dress. It seemed easy and comfortable to throw on and stomp around in. I paired it with an Ann Taylor belted blazer, Elie Tahari cut-out, peep-toe, leather and suede slingbacks, a chunky glass necklace and my "beast" by Betsey Johnson. Voila!
Handmade empanadas by El Porteno stuffed with prosciutto and cheese. Also amazing.
