3.1 and then some
Look, I don't think a single femme I know who snagged this dress had anything but love for it. Soft cotton, a dash of ruching, an ultra-femme print - what's not to love? It's just a fun, easy thing to throw on. But BOLD. Add one navy blazer - mine's from a Roman Catholic boys' school in San Francisco, which is nothing short of absolutely perfect as far as I'm concerned - and glossy patent heels, and you're good to go.
Look at those sleeve buttons!
Confession: We've been to this place called Lone Star in Allston (which is basically next door) twice since Sunday. They have really good chips and salsa. It's no authentic Mission taqueria (and I don't mean Papalote or Cancún, y'all), but it's easily the best damn Mexican we've had in the greater Boston area since we moved here. You have no idea how loathe we are to admit that since we are generally not for Tex-Mex, but my hunch is that the menu kind of segregated the Tex from the Mex. I don't want to bore you, but it's really nice to sip on a Clase Azul margarita accompanied by some real heat outside of the 415/510. FINALLY.
Wrentham Outlets update! I was a very good girl and only picked up a handful of makeup from the Estee Lauder Company Store. It flurried and froze while we were out there, but I picked up this Smashbox lip gloss, Estee Lauder blush, and a MAC Fluidline with sweet, sweet summer in mind. We did pop into the Ted Baker shop and everyone fell in love with everything and the tomboys pledged to return for matching summer shorts and I sighed over several frothy, ethereal maxi dresses that are just plain silly to look at this time of year but still.
It wasn't until the very end that I saw the Barney's and Saks and Elie Tahari and Theory stores, but the tomboys were already waiting in the pre-heated car for us to finish makeup shopping, so my wallet was spared. The Restoration Hardware outlet was a total dud, so we consoled ourselves with milk and two dozen Dunkin Donuts Munchkins to share for the ride home. It was a super cute Sunday.
That's it for now! I'll tell you how French lessons are going next time, and also about my Equine Nutrition class! I feel terrible for missing the SOTU, but you know, higher learning and all! What did I miss?! Tell me!
