A few months ago, a good friend of mine tipped me off to these incredibly gorgeous, unbelievably comfortable, fabulously unique kaftans from Wild East Imports.
I tried one and fell in love — now I've got four and every single time I add a new one I swear it'll be the last one, but then she comes out with a new design I can't stop thinking about and that's the end of that. Please, please go and buy them all up so that I can't!
Aside from the intricate block printing on the thinnest, softest, airiest cotton ever, the sleeves are the perfect length, the neckline falls perfectly somewhere between demure and daring, and the side slits that come up to graze the knee make walking and moving and lounging around a breeze! Every time I throw one on and leave the house, it gets loads of compliments.
They tie somewhere between the natural waist and lower bust, as snug or as loose as you please, and aren't sized so OSFA (or most, more likely — I'm sure she'd happily provide the measurements for flat across without the waist cinched if you asked).
Today was so perfect and summery I knew the yellow one had to come with me to Crown Memorial Beach to catch the last rays of daylight and watch the sun set over San Francisco with M.
Did I mention these babies are all well under $50 a pop?! TRUE STORY.
If kaftans aren't your thing, there are loads of gorgeous robes and linens, too, from block print tablecloths to vintage Kantha blankets and pretty Banjara clutches. Head here to find out more about the story behind these treasures!
Aside from the kaftan, it's really just jewelry here — a Kate Spade bracelet, my beloved Low Luv x Erin Wasson horse hoof and tail bracelet and pony leg pendant, and a new addition from Roberta Oaks! It's got little abalone bits mixed with gold shapes on a long horn-shaped pendant, I love it.
Hope everyone got to enjoy this week's eye-popping Harvest Moon!
